Refund policy
30-Days
You have 30 days from receiving your item to initiate a return. To qualify, the item must be in its original condition, unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. A receipt or proof of purchase is required.
Initiating a Return
Email us at modern@modernfurnishings.com to start a return. Upon acceptance, we’ll provide instructions for returning your package, including pickup arrangements if applicable. Returns without prior approval will not be accepted. Please note that the buyer covers all return shipping costs and a restocking fee of 25% unless the item is defective.
Damages and Issues
Inspect your order upon arrival. If you find any defects, damage, or incorrect items, contact us immediately to address and rectify the issue.
Return Exceptions
The following items cannot be returned:
- Made-to-Order Products: Customized items made to your specifications.
- Non-Returnable Products: Specifically marked as non-returnable.
- Installed/Assembled Products: Items that have been used or assembled.
- Original Condition and Packaging: Items must be returned as received.
- White Glove Delivery Products: Signed-for items, received in good condition.
- Open Box Items: Previously returned but non-defective items.
- Gift Cards: These are non-refundable.
- All Sale Items: All items that are purchased on sale.
Cancellations
- General Orders: Cancel within 48 hours of order placement.
- Made-to-Order Items: Cancellations not accepted after 48 hours.
- After Shipment/Processing: The customer is responsible for round-trip shipping charges.
Exchanges
For a seamless exchange, return the original item and then place a new order.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will update you on the status of your refund approval. Approved refunds are processed using the original payment method, minus shipping costs for non-defective items. Processing times for the refund to appear can vary.
